Pfizer Raises 2026 Outlook as Eliquis and Cancer Drugs Lift Sales — Patent Risks Remain
· News Team
November 3, 2026. Pfizer has raised its full-year revenue and adjusted earnings forecasts after reporting stronger-than-expected third-quarter results, according to Reuters. The revised outlook is a sign that demand for several established and acquired medicines is helping offset pressure from fading COVID-19 product sales and approaching patent expirations.
What the numbers show
Reuters reported quarterly revenue of $16.58 billion and adjusted earnings of $0.87 per share, ahead of analyst expectations of $15.87 billion and $0.73 respectively. Pfizer now projects 2026 revenue of $62 billion to $64 billion and adjusted earnings of $2.95 to $3.05 per share. These are company forecasts, not achieved full-year results.
Sales of the anticoagulant Eliquis reportedly increased 25% to $2.52 billion. Cancer medicine Padcev also contributed to demand. The performance highlights the importance of the company’s non-COVID portfolio, although individual product growth should not be confused with company-wide growth.
Why it matters
Investors will watch whether growth from oncology and other medicines can persist as older products lose exclusivity. Acquisitions and research programmes could create new sources of revenue, but clinical outcomes, regulatory approvals and integration costs remain uncertain. A stronger annual forecast does not eliminate those risks.
