Peter Greene, an iconic actor known for his roles in “The Mask” and “Pulp Fiction,”
has tragically passed away at 60. His longtime manager confirmed the sad news, stating
Greene was found unresponsive in his Lower East Side apartment. Paramedics pronounced
him dead at the scene. While police do not suspect foul play, a medical examiner
will determine the cause of death.

Described as a terrific guy, Greene’s manager, Gregg Edwards, expressed deep sadness,
calling him one of the great actors of their generation. Edwards shared that Greene
was set to start production on an independent thriller titled “Mascots” alongside
Mickey Rourke.

Greene gained prominence as a talented but sometimes difficult actor. His role as
mobster Dorian Tyrell in “The Mask” is often cited as his most significant performance.
Throughout his career, he worked with many talented actors and directors, striving
for perfection in every role.

Despite a tumultuous past, Greene overcame personal demons, including struggles
with addiction. He faced challenges from a young age, having run away from home
at 15. His journey included a period of drug use and a suicide attempt, after which
he sought treatment.

Greene’s career spanned numerous beloved films, including “Laws of Gravity,” “Clean,
Shaven,” “Blue Streak,” and “Training Day.” With nearly 95 credits to his name,
he leaves behind a remarkable legacy.

As we reflect on Peter Greene’s impact on cinema, we remember not only his performances
but the person he was. His contributions to the film industry will not be forgotten.
