# Jokić Reaches 200 Triple-Doubles as Nuggets Beat Pelicans 104–91 — Why the Milestone Matters - Link: https://tectonicsmediapublications.com/jokic-200-triple-doubles-nuggets-pelicans-104-91-october-29-2026/ - Published: 2026-10-29T17:06:41+00:00 - Author: News Team **October 29, 2026.** Nikola Jokić joined one of basketball’s smallest statistical clubs on Wednesday night: he recorded his **200th regular-season triple-double** as the Denver Nuggets beat the New Orleans Pelicans **104–91**. The result is final, and the milestone is confirmed in the [NBA’s official October 28 game center](https://www.nba.com/game/den-vs-nop-0022600140). ## The numbers behind No. 200 Jokić finished with **21 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists**, becoming only the second player to reach 200 regular-season triple-doubles, after Russell Westbrook. A triple-double requires double-digit totals in three statistical categories in one game; Jokić achieved it through scoring, rebounding and playmaking. The distinction matters: this is a _regular-season_ milestone, not a total that combines playoff games. Jamal Murray led Denver in scoring with 23 points. Aaron Gordon added 15 points and 11 rebounds. New Orleans’ Zion Williamson scored 25, but the Pelicans could not complete a comeback after trailing by as many as 22. The [Reuters game report](https://www.reuters.com/sports/basketball/nuggets-use-clutch-shooting-late-hold-off-pelicans-surge--flm-2026-10-29/) confirms the final score, leading scorers and the milestone. ## How Denver protected its lead The Nuggets built a commanding early advantage, then had to respond when the Pelicans reduced the deficit to five points during the fourth quarter. Denver’s late perimeter shooting helped keep the game from turning into a one-possession finish. According to Reuters, the Nuggets made 12 of 31 three-point attempts, while New Orleans went 7 for 30. The difference was not simply Jokić accumulating a box-score milestone; his passing helped keep teammates involved while Denver recovered its cushion. The game also illustrated how a triple-double can serve a team’s wider offensive structure. Jokić’s ten assists reflect possessions finished by others, rather than points credited to him. That is one reason his milestone belongs in a discussion of sustained creation and team play, not only individual scoring. ## What the milestone does — and does not — prove Two hundred regular-season triple-doubles is a rare marker of longevity and multi- category production. It does not, by itself, settle comparisons across eras or determine which player is the greatest. Playing styles, pace, roles and statistical environments differ. What can be said precisely is that Jokić has reached a threshold previously achieved only by Westbrook. For New Orleans, the loss exposed a different concern: a fourth-quarter push was not enough to overcome the early deficit and poor three-point shooting. Denver leaves with the victory and a landmark performance; the Pelicans still need more consistent offense across four quarters. ## Watch the verified game highlights The [official NBA game center for October 28, 2026](https://www.nba.com/game/den-vs-nop-0022600140) includes a dated clip titled “Joker 2nd to reach triple-double No. 200” alongside other game highlights.
