# Browns Escape Titans 27–24: Szmyt’s Walk-Off Kick Caps a 14-Point Comeback - Link: https://tectonicsmediapublications.com/browns-titans-27-24-szmyt-walk-off-october-25-2026/ - Published: 2026-10-26T09:30:35+00:00 - Author: News Team **October 25, 2026 — Nashville, Tennessee.** The **Cleveland Browns beat the Tennessee Titans 27–24** on Sunday when kicker Andre Szmyt converted a **32-yard field goal as time expired**. Cleveland improved to 5–2 and remained atop the AFC North; Tennessee fell to 1–6. The score is final, not a live-game projection. [The NFL’s Week 7 results](https://www.nfl.com/schedules/2026/by-week/week-7) and the [Browns’ official game centre](https://www.clevelandbrowns.com/game-day/2026/reg-week7/browns-at-titans/) confirm the outcome. ## Why the finish was more than a kicking story With the score tied at 24 late in the fourth quarter, Cleveland had less than a minute to manufacture a response. Quarterback Deshaun Watson moved the offense ** 55 yards in four plays**; a **36-yard completion to tight end Harold Fannin Jr.** created the decisive field-goal opportunity. Szmyt finished the drive, but the Browns’ ability to move the ball quickly against a defense expecting the pass made the kick possible. [Cleveland’s postgame account](https://www.clevelandbrowns.com/news/browns-27-titans-24-final-score-stats-game-recap) documents the sequence. ## How a 14–0 deficit became a Cleveland win Tennessee’s Tony Pollard scored on runs of **36 and 10 yards** to put the Titans ahead 14–0 in the first quarter. Cleveland answered with two Quinshon Judkins rushing touchdowns and took a 17–14 halftime lead on Szmyt’s 28-yard field goal. After a scoreless third quarter, Tennessee tied the game at 17; Watson then ran nine yards for a touchdown to make it 24–17. Pollard’s third rushing touchdown tied the score again at 24, setting up the final Cleveland possession. Pollard finished with **129 rushing yards and three touchdowns**, an important reminder that Tennessee’s defeat was not caused by a lack of individual offensive production. Cleveland, however, amassed **491 total yards to Tennessee’s 322**, a gap that helps explain how the visitors recovered from an early two-score deficit. [Official scoring and team statistics](https://www.clevelandbrowns.com/game-day/2026/reg-week7/browns-at-titans/) provide the breakdown. ## Watson’s milestone and Concepcion’s breakout Watson completed **25 of 36 passes for 308 yards**, his first 300-yard passing game for Cleveland according to the club. Rookie receiver **KC Concepcion Jr.** caught** eight passes for 129 yards**, both career highs; notably, the club reports all eight catches came in the first half. That distribution suggests Cleveland found different answers after halftime, with its running game and late-game execution becoming more decisive. The Browns also rushed for a season-high **183 yards** on 29 attempts. The caution is equally clear: allowing three Pollard touchdowns and needing another last-second kick leaves little margin for mistakes against stronger opponents. Tennessee’s 1–6 record, meanwhile, masks a game in which its rushing attack repeatedly threatened Cleveland’s defense. **Image:** Illustrative photograph of an American football on a field by [Paolo Aldrighetti / Unsplash](https://unsplash.com/@bechilar)( [Unsplash License](https://unsplash.com/license)).
