NFL teams have fully flipped the page toward Week 2, and the biggest name that’s bubbled up on injury watch is San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy.
Purdy is “week to week” with his toe injury, according to 49ers general manager John Lynch, whose comments come on the heels of a report by NFL Media that Purdy could miss “two to five weeks.” The 49ers will also be without All-Pro tight end George Kittle, who went on injured reserve after hurting his hamstring last weekend.
Cleveland Browns rookie Quinshon Judkins, meanwhile, might make his NFL debut on Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens. Judkins was listed as a full participant in Thursday’s practice, a day after he met with the NFL in New York over the league’s personal conduct policy. The second-round pick out of Ohio State was arrested in Florida in July on charges of domestic battery, but the charges were dropped in late August. The Browns officially signed Judkins this past Saturday.
