The Office of Vital Statistics and Registry registers vital events and maintains the following vital records:

  • Birth records from 1923 to present
  • Marriage records from 1941 to present
  • Death records from 1941 to present
  • Domestic partnership records from 2004
  • Civil union records from 2007
  • Certificate of birth resulting in stillbirth from 1969
  • Adoption records – foreign and domestic

New Jersey To Apply For Critical Rural Funding, Seeks Stakeholder Input by October 7

New Jersey will soon apply for new federal funding to support rural health care, and the State is asking residents, health care facilities, community-based organizations, and other health sector partners to help inform the proposal. The New Jersey Departments of (NJDOH) and Human Services (NJDHS) are inviting stakeholders to share their input on the State’s application for the new Rural Transformation Program (RHT Program), a one-time $50 billion fund to invest in rural health nationwide over five years.

New Jersey Department of Acting Commissioner Jeff Brown and Deputy Commissioner of Public Services Novneet Sahu, MD, MPA, visited Henry J. The New Jersey Department of (NJDOH) and the New Jersey Maternal and Infant Innovation Authority (NJMIHIA) today underscore the safety of using acetaminophen – commonly sold under the brand name Tylenol – as directed by their health care provider when pregnant, the benefits of COVID-19 vaccination during pregnancy and postpartum, and the benefits of hepatitis B vaccination during infancy.
